Camp Clog 2024

14th to 16th June

Camp Plas

Camp Clog is a joyous, informal weekend for traditional musicians and step dancers in a beautiful rural campsite location.

Despite the name it’s not just clog dancing, we have lots of step dancers and musical activities are on an equal footing with the dance. It’s not really a ‘boot (clog) camp’ either!

The aim is to explore music and step dancing together in a spirit of cooperation and playfulness.

The social side is as important as the music and dance activities, so we take meals together and immerse ourselves in the community experience of the whole weekend. Hopefully, we all grow as musicians and dancers, and have a great time (there’s cake too!).

The programme of activities emerges from the people who come along, and you’ll get to do loads of different things, so it’s not like a workshop weekend where you learn the same thing all the way through.

We encourage people to help facilitate activities so bring your ideas and skills to share. We’ve done all sorts of things in the past, see Info for some examples.

Have a look at our previous Camp Clog pages for some photos which will give you a flavour of the event.
